The Virgin de San Juan de Los Lagos Patron Saint Candle commemorates an image of the Virgin Mary located in the town of San Juan de Los Lagos in Jalisco, Mexico. Over a million people take a pilgrimage to the site of the image every year at the end of January. Many people pray to the Virgin Mary for an intercession to aid in the healing of a loved one. In return, they pledge to make the pilgrimage to San Juan de Los Lagos. The feast of the Virgin de San Juan de Los Lagos is celebrated on several days: February 2nd, June 24th, August 15th, and December 8th.
